Courbevoie restructuring and elevation of a mixed unit
The wooden refurbishment and elevation project aims to optimize and modernize a trio of existing connected buildings located on rue Blondel in Courbevoie, while preserving their industrial character. It revolves around three main areas: living, working, and learning. The existing urban industrial architecture is respected through a harmonious integration of a new wooden structure with its existing brick facades. The project plans to elevate the buildings while adhering to the authorized height limits, adding an attic level. The buildings are to repurposed: Building A will house residential units (2 T1, 4 T2, 1 T4 et 1 T5) designed to adapt to market changes; in combination with a commercial space on the ground floor; Building B will become an office headquarters with flexible workspaces; and Building C will be transformed into a training center. The spaces are designed to be multifunctional, adaptable, and aligned with contemporary needs. The project also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, using decarbonized and recyclable materials, as well as reducing environmental impact. The project aims to be respectful of the urban environment and proposes a new architectural image that is both modern and in continuity with the industrial past.
