A project for the extension and rehabilitation of the Louis Pergaud elementary and primary school complex located in the southern suburbs of Paris.  Built in 1983 using an uninsulated prefabricated system of concrete wall and roof slab panels, the existing building complex was to be gutted and refurbished, with the creation of an extension and shared courtyard space to the south conceived to link and unify the two entities. Two large floating roofs mark the entry to the pimary and elementary school, and provide shelter and a covered area for play.  Vertical exterior surfaces are clad in an insulated, articulated wood coat (larch). Sustainability guidelines were respected.
